About Us
EC Constructors, Inc. (ECC) is a family-owned and operated construction company specializing in Public Works General Building Construction. In addition to general contracting, ECC performs concrete construction, framing, and general carpentry work.
Jim Summers spent almost 23 years working for a general contracting firm prior to starting ECC with his wife Sherri. Sherri’s work experience in accounting combined with Jim’s experience with general construction made for a perfect family business. Jim’s experience in construction began in February 1983 working as a laborer and performing various types of carpentry work. In time, Jim advanced to foreman then project superintendent, and eventually to estimating and project management. He spent the last 7 years with the GC firm working as VP in charge of design-build projects.
ECC prides itself on being a building contractor that focuses on the implementation of efficient construction processes and collaboration with design professionals to produce high-quality facilities at the best possible price for various clients. Initially, ECC bids on public projects with a hard-bid delivery method. ECC now has a respectable balance of design-build and CM-at-Risk projects to complement the hard-bid projects.
